ONAM CELEBRATION 2023
Onam is a significant cultural festival in Kerala.MMTC College celebrated the vibrant festival of Onam with great enthusiasm on August 21st.
The ceremonial floral arrangement known as "Pookalam" is an integral part of Onam celebrations. Creating Pookalams at the college entrances must have added a visually stunning and welcoming touch to the festivities. cultural performances were a part of the celebration. students actively participated in Thiruvathira, Onam Pattu, and other dance programs as part of the Onam celebration at MMTC College. The Onasadya is a central aspect of Onam festivities and is known for its elaborate and delicious spread of traditional Kerala dishes.A traditional meal was served, with various curries, rice, payasam, and other delicacies. The event emphasized unity and sharing, as students and staff sat together to enjoy the meal.The organization of traditional games and competitions such as vadamvali (tug-of-war) were conducted during the Onam celebration at MMTC College. These activities not only engage students in fun and physical challenges but also help in preserving and promoting traditional games that have been a part of Kerala's culture for generations.The fact that students dressed in traditional attire adds to the authenticity and charm of the event.
